Palestinian Journalist Killed In Israeli Strike On Gaza Hospital

The Palestinian Health Ministry denounced the attack on Nasser Hospital, stating that two people were killed in the strike while receiving treatment.

A Palestinian journalist receiving medical treatment was killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis early Tuesday, according to the Gaza-based Government Media Office.

Journalist Hassan Eslaih was reportedly targeted and killed inside the hospital, where he had been recovering from a previous assassination attempt. The media office accused Israel of deliberately targeting Eslaih and labeled his death an “assassination.” His killing raises the reported number of Palestinian journalists killed since the start of the Gaza war in October 2023 to 215, Arab News reported.

The Government Media Office condemned what it described as Israel라이브 바카라 “systemic targeting of journalists,” and called on international press organizations, including the International Federation of Journalists and the Arab Journalists Union, to take legal action against Israel in international courts.

According to Arab News, the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) also condemned the strike, reporting that at least 178 journalists and media workers have been killed across Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon since the outbreak of war on October 7, 2023.

The Israeli military resumed airstrikes on Gaza late Monday after a brief pause, which had allowed for the release of Israeli-American soldier Edan Alexander by Hamas as part of a U.S.-brokered agreement.

In a separate development, US President Donald Trump arrived in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, beginning a Gulf tour that will include stops in the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. Trump described the visit as “historic,” and it comes amid renewed diplomatic talks between the United States and Iran regarding Tehran라이브 바카라 nuclear program.
