Jaya, who is Agastya's grandmother, attended the event along with the entire Bachchan clan, including Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Aaradhya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan, Nikhil Nanda and others. At the event, a video of her was shared by a paparazzo account on Instagram. She opted for a white kaftan kurta with diamond jewellery and carried a matching stole and handbag. She posed with Tina Ambani, who was in a black outfit. However, she was seen telling the paparazzi “don't shout” and gestured with her hand as if asking them to not scream or speak so much. Soon, the photographers referred to her as “ma'am” while asking her to pose.

The video got a mixed response. While some didn't like her not-so-friendly relationship with the paparazzi, others seconded the opinion of the 75-year-old actor-politician. A fan wrote, “Her: Don't shout... immediately the photographer: maaammmmm (laughing emoji).” Another one commented, “That MHAMMMM.” One more wrote, “She always reminds me of my convent school principal....”
Meanwhile, Jaya also posed with the Bachchans, including Agastya's parents Shweta Bachchan and Nikhil Nanda and sister Navya Naveli Nanda. They were joined by Abhishek Bachchan with wife Aishwarya Rai and daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. Most of the family was dressed in black.

Coming to ‘The Archies’, Agastya is playing the lead role in the film, which is the Hindi adaptation of the American comic book series of the same name. Helmed by Zoya Akhtar, it is set in the imaginary Riverdale in the 1960s. The film will release on Netflix on December 7.
