Actor Akshay Kumar, on Saturday, officially announced the sequel to his 2019 historical film Kesari. He also announced Kesari 2 release date.

Kesari 2 is set to hit the screens on April 18, 2025. The teaser will be out on March 24.
Sharing a promotional video, giving a glimpse of Kesari Chapter 2, Akshay also shared that the teaser of Kesari 2 will be unveiled on March 24. The video featured slates that read, "A revolution painted in courage. Kesari Chapter 2."
Akshay Kumar wrote on X, "Kuch ladaaiyan hathiyaaron se nahi ladi jaati (Some fights are not fought with weapons)

Kesari Chapter 2 will revolve around the untold story of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. As per reports, the film is based on the book The Case That Shook The Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat. The upcoming film will explore the story of barrister C. Sankaran Nair who fought against the British Raj to uncover the truth behind the 1919 massacre.
For the unversed, Nair was the former President of the Indian National Congress and a member of the Viceroy's Executive Council.
Kesari 2 will also star R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday in pivotal roles.
It was earlier scheduled for release on March 14, 2025. Kesari 2 is produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films, and is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi.
