What happened in Squid Game 2?
Season 2 of Squid Game started off from where the first season ended. It shows protagonist Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), sporting pink-dyed hair, all set to board a flight with his prize money and returns back as he decides to put an end to the deadly games. However, in the third episode of the season, he falls prey to the mastermind Hwang In-ho (Lee Byung-hun) and finally decides to be back to the game to end once and for all. He enters the game and joins new players including his best friend, Park Jung-bae (Lee Seo-hwan). The twist comes when the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) joins the competition as player 001 aka Young-il and joins hands with Seong Gi-hun and wins his trust, just to betray him towards the end of the last episode of the season. Gi-hun remains unaware of the betrayal. Will he be able to find out the truth and save other players of the deadly game? That is expected to be unraveled in the finale season.
