Sikandar Day 1 Box Office Collection: Salman Khan's previous films including Tiger Zinda Hai, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan, and Ek Tha Tiger performed better than Sikandar.
Salman Khan's Sikandar, which hit the theatres on Sunday, March 30, a day before Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations, had a rocky start at the box office. Its first-day collection is lower than Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava's which earned Rs 31 crore on day 1. Sikandar marks Khan's return to the silver screen after his 2023 film, Tiger 3.
Sikandar failed to cross the Rs 30 crore mark on first day. According to trade industry tracker, Sacnilk, Sikandar earned Rs 26 crore net in India on day 1 at the box office for all languages.
It had an overall 20.95% Hindi occupancy on Sunday in 2D and overall 22.96% Hindi occupancy in IMAX 2D.
Chennai recorded the maximum occupancy of 46.67%, followed by 28% percent in Bengaluru, 24.67% in Jaipur and Kolkata respectively. Hyderabad had an occupancy of 22% , NCR had 21% and Mumbai had 20.67%.
In IMAX-2D, Sikandar's occupancy was the highest in Chennai (68%), followed by Bengaluru (53.33%), Ahmedabad (42.50%), Lucknow (29.50%), Kolkata (26%), and Delhi (23%).

Makers claim that Sikandar had earned Rs 54 crore worldwide on its opening day. However, the global collections are still awaited. It is to note that Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan, which released in 2023, had earned over twice as much Rs 109 crore on its opening day.
Sikandar is also far behind Mohanlal's Malayalam film L2: Empuraan, which earned Rs 67 crore worldwide on its first day. Salman Khan starrer mostly received negative reviews which might affect its collections in the upcoming days.
Apart from Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, Sikandar also starred Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, Anjini Dhawan, and Jatin Sarna in significant roles. Sikandar is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, and has been directed by AR Murugadoss.
