Rishab Shetty starrer Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1, the prequel to Kantara is all set to hit the theatres on October 2, 2025. But there have been reports of the film being delayed. The makers, today, dismissed the rumours and reconfirmed Kantara: Chapter 1 release date with a video post.
The video showed a message from one of the fans, which read, "Bro, Is Kantara: Chapter 1 postponing it's release date?" And the answer comes 'No' in different languages.
"NO doubts. NO delays :) The legendary saga, #KantaraChpater1 unfolds on October 2nd, 2025 (sic),'' read the caption.

Recently, an extensive war sequence was shot with 500 skilled fighters and almost 3,000 people were part of it. It is said to be one of the major highlights of the upcoming film.
Rishab Shetty, who plays the lead role, underwent three months of training and also learnt horse riding, Kalari and sword fighting for the sequence. The shooting took place for nearly 45-50 days, in the mountains of Karnataka.
Like Kantara, Shetty is yet again set to captivate audiences in the prequel. Kantara was a cinematic masterpiece and the prequel also promises to offer the same.
Kantara Chapter 1 will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Hindi and English.
Released in 2022, Kantara reportedly grossed a total of Rs 406.75 crore worldwide. Shetty received with the prestigious Best Actor award at the 70th National Film Awards for his stellar performance in the Kannada film. The film also received the award for Best Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
