Actor-politician Vijay's purported last film, Jana Nayagan, is all set to hit the screens next year. On Monday, KVN Productions, announced that it will hit the theatres on Pongal 2026. Jana Nayagan was earlier scheduled to release in October this year. Read on to know Jana Nayagan release date.

Jana Nayagan release date
Jana Nayagan, which is Vijay's swan song, will be released in theatres on January 9, 2026. The production house wrote on social media, “Adiyum othaiyum kalanthu vechu vidiya vidiya virundhu vecha.. #JanaNayaganPongal. 09.01.2026 #JanaNayaganFromJan9.”
A poster featuring Vijay was also released, where he is seen dressed in white and striking a pose as he dances with people.
As per reports, Jana Nayagan is the remake of Anil Ravipudi라이브 바카라 2023 blockbuster Bhagavanth Kesari.

Apart from Vijay, the film also stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mamitha Baiju, Narain, Monisha Blessy and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in key roles. Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music of the film. It is directed by H Vinoth.
According to Times of India, Vijay, who formed his political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) in February 2024, confirmed that he will quit acting after his 69th film, Jana Nayagan. He stated this at the first-anniversary meeting of his political party.
Vijay would contest in the elections next year.
