The birth of Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, is the source of celebration for the Rama Navami festival, which is a significant Hindu holiday. It is the finale of the Chaitra Navratri celebrations, as it occurs on the ninth day (Navami) of the Shukla Paksha, which is the waxing moon phase, during the month of Chaitra. Known as the personification of righteousness (Dharma), bravery, and devotion, Lord Rama was born in Ayodhya to King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalya. He is considered the paragon of these qualities.
