Biography
Amy Adams was born on August 20, 1974, in Aviano, Italy, to American parents Kathryn and Richard Adams. At the time, her father was serving in the U.S. Army. She grew up with four brothers and two sisters, moving from one army base to another before the family settled in Castle Rock, Colorado, when she was eight years old.
After leaving the army, Amy라이브 바카라 father pursued singing professionally, performing in nightclubs and restaurants. Amy fondly remembers attending his shows and sipping Shirley Temples at the bar. Although the family didn’t have much money, they found joy in camping, hiking, and performing amateur skits written by their parents. Amy often played the lead in these family productions, showcasing her early love for performing.
Raised as a Mormon, Amy left the church after her parents divorced in 1985. Her father moved to Arizona and remarried, while Amy and her siblings stayed with their mother, who became a semi-professional bodybuilder. Amy described her childhood with her siblings as wild and free, likening it to Lord of the Flies. She often fought with other kids, calling herself a “scrappy, tough kid.”
In high school at Douglas County High in Colorado, Amy wasn’t academically inclined but excelled in creative arts. She sang in the choir, competed in track and gymnastics, and trained as an apprentice at the David Taylor Dance Company, dreaming of becoming a ballerina. However, she found high school challenging and largely kept to herself.
After graduation, Amy moved to Atlanta with her mother. Although her parents hoped she would attend college, she decided against it, a decision she later regretted. At 18, she realized she wasn’t talented enough to become a professional ballerina and turned her focus to musical theater, which felt more natural to her.
Amy began performing in local theater productions, including a community play of Annie, which she did as a volunteer. To support herself, she worked various jobs, including as a greeter at Gap and briefly as a waitress at Hooters, leaving the job after saving enough to buy a car. These experiences marked the start of her journey to becoming one of Hollywood라이브 바카라 most celebrated actresses.
