Biography:
Park Ji-min, known mononymously as Jimin, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and dancer. He gained prominence as a member of the globally acclaimed K-pop group BTS, under Big Hit Entertainment, debuting in 2013. Jimin was the last member to join the group, having trained for only six months prior to his debut, the shortest period among his bandmates. Before becoming a trainee, Jimin attended Busan High School of Arts, where he specialized in modern dance and was a top student in the department. His dance teacher encouraged him to audition with an entertainment company, which ultimately led him to Big Hit Entertainment. He transferred to Korean Arts High School after passing the auditions in 2012, graduating in 2014. In August 2020, he graduated from Global Cyber University with a major in Broadcasting and Entertainment, receiving the President's Award, the school's highest honor.
