India's Largest Christmas Celebration Celebrated At Girgaum Chowpatty On 8 December 2024

Prabhu Yeshu Janmotsav라이브 바카라 Christmas message this season is "Spreading the Message of Peace, Harmony & Hope to a world in turmoil".

The 59th annual Prabhu Yeshu Janmotsav, the largest Christmas gathering in India, served as a symbolic moment for thousands of Christians who gathered to commemorate the birth of Christ on December 8, 2024, at Girgaum Chowpatty, Mumbai. This celebration was attended by over 25,000 members of the Christian community, who joined together to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and spread His message of love, peace, and goodwill to all mankind.

This event was initiated over 59 years ago by the then Lady Governor, Tara Cherian, and has been a regular feature every December for six decades. Christian leaders across denominations, including Cardinal Oswald Gracias, various Bishops, Pastors, as well as dignitaries like Justice Shri K.K. Tated (Chairman of the Maharashtra State Human Rights Commission), Shri Nitin Patil, IAS (Secretary of the Maharashtra State Human Rights Commission), MLA Shri Ashish Shelar, and MLA Shri Rahul Narvekar, attended the evening라이브 바카라 festivities.

Dr. Abraham Mathai (Chairman, PYJ & Ex Vice-Chairman, State Minorities Commission), in his address, reflected on the resilience of the Church over its 2,000-year history, despite facing brutal opposition and persecution. He emphasized that, even today, in many parts of the world, the Church undergoes horrendous suffering, yet continues to thrive and grow.

“No matter how many churches are destroyed, no matter how many Christians are murdered, no matter how many Bibles are burned, the Church라이브 바카라 persecutors, be they the Romans of the Ancient World or the totalitarian regimes of the modern era, have never been able to extinguish her. Despite the relentless attacks mounted against it, the Church has stood for over 2,000 years!” Dr. Mathai noted.

Dr.Mathai attributed this resilience to a supernatural foundation resting on Christ, transcending material realities. He also highlighted the remarkable contribution of India라이브 바카라 Christian minority—comprising just 2.5% of the nation라이브 바카라 demographics—to healthcare, social work, and rural welfare, likening their impact to the vital, transformative presence of salt in cuisine.

This year, the PYJ message of compassion, unity, and hope resonated deeply, calling for collective action amidst the backdrop of wars, suffering, and loss worldwide. Dr. Mathai라이브 바카라 address reinforced the biblical call for harmony, urging Christians to be peacemakers and catalysts for reconciliation in a world riddled with turmoil. The PYJ celebration became a platform to inspire individuals to reflect on their role in fostering peace and healing in their communities.

The festive spirit, interwoven with poignant reminders of global challenges, called attendees to embrace compassion and humanity. As Dr. Mathai and the PYJ message underscored, Christmas is a time to counter the strife dominating global headlines with acts of kindness, understanding, and love. The message of the season encouraged attendees to reflect on their capacity to contribute to a harmonious world by embodying Christ's teachings of love, peace, and goodwill.
