At least 19 people were killed in northern Palestinian territory on Monday by two Israeli air strikes, Gaza's civil defence agency said.

"Our teams found 15 martyrs and 10 wounded, mostly children and women, after an Israeli strike on three apartments" northwest of Gaza City, said the agency's spokesman, Mahmud Bassal.

Additionally, four other people were killed and four wounded in a strike on a house in Beit Lahiya, which is situated in the north of Gaza City, AFP reported.

The Israeli military has not yet released a comment on the strike.

Israel and Hamas reached a U.S. brokered ceasefire on January 19, which ended on March 18. Israel has continued its aerial bombardments and ground operations in the Gaza Strip since then.

Since March 2, Israel blocked the entry of all humanitarian aid into the Gaza strip, which has a population of 2.4 million people.

The bombardment is meant to force Hamas into releasing the hostages. There are at least  58 hostages held in Gaza. The army says 34 of them are dead, Economic Times reported. Hamas is also reportedly holding the mortal remains of an Israeli soldier killed in a previous war in Gaza in 2014.

Hamas took around 250 hostages to the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, of which eight dead and 25 living hostages were released by Hamas in exchange for around 1,900 Palestinian prisoners and detainees during the first phase of the ceasefire, according to media reports.

Israel's war on Gaza has killed at least 52,495 Palestinians and wounded 118,366, according to its Health Ministry, Al Jazeera reported. The Gaza Government Media Office라이브 바카라 latest death toll is more than 61,700, mentioning thousands of people are presumed dead under the rubble.
