The development came a day after Bangladesh's interim government revoked the passport of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina alongside 96 others in the wake of the criminal proceedings against these individuals in the country.
A day after the Mohammad Yunus-led Bangladesh government revoked her passport, India extended the visa of Bangladesh's ousted former prime minister Sheikh Hasina who sought refuge in India after fleeing her country in August following massive anti-government protests.
As per several media reports, the former premier라이브 바카라 visa has been extended to facilitate her stay in the country. A Hindustan Times reported suggested that the extension of the visa involved the Union home ministry. The local Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) was also reportedly involved in the matter.
On Tuesday, Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus-led interim government of Bangladesh on Tuesday revoked the passport of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina alongside 96 others in the wake of the criminal proceedings against these individuals in the country.
As per several media reports, out of these 97 people, 22 are facing charges for alleged involvement in enforced disappearances while the rest 75 are facing allegations of involvement in killings during the student protests in Bangladesh last year.
On Monday, Bangladesh's International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) issued arrest warrants against Sheikh Hasina and 11 others in the case of enforced disappearance and extrajudicial killings during her tenure.
This was the second arrest warrant by the ICT against Hasina, who fled to India after her Awami League regime's toppling following unprecedented anti-government protests in August last year. The ICT issued the first arrest warrant against the ex-premier on October 17 on charges of genocide and crimes against humanity committed during the July-August protests and uprising.
The tribunal has set a deadline of February 12 for the accused, including Hasina, to be arrested and produced before it.
Last month, Dhaka officially sought Hasina라이브 바카라 extradition from India. While New Delhi acknowledged the receipt of the letter, it refrained from commenting on it.
The Bangladeshi Awami League chief left the country on August 5 last year and sought refuge in India. Hundreds of people were killed in Bangladesh in incidents of violence that erupted across the country following the fall of the Hasina government.
After the fall of the Awami League government, at least 60 cases or complaints of enforced disappearances, killings, genocide, and crimes against humanity were lodged at the ICT, accusing Hasina, leaders of her party and its allies, and senior officials of different law enforcement agencies.
