Over the past 24 hours at least 39 bodies and 105 wounded people arrived at Gaza Strip hospitals, Gaza's Health Ministry mentioned.
Israel bombed a school-turned-shelter in Gaza city on Wednesday. 10 people including a child burned to death as the building was set ablaze. At least 24 people have been killed since this morning due to Israeli air strikes across the Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera reported.
The bombing took place in a school in al-Tuffah neighbourhood. The school was turned into a shelter for displaced families.
Al Jazeera reported the statements of some people who have survived the attack.
Ahmed Basil, a wounded Palestinian said, “My three cousins-three children-were lost. They were pulled out, completely charred”.
Bisan al - Kafarneh, a Palestinian who was displaced from Beit Hanoun and took shelter in this school, said, “We were asleep when suddenly we saw a light like the light of the day of judgement - fire everywhere. I grabbed my daughters and ran. They were injured and their father was in the bathroom. The girls were screaming for him , and we lost each other”.
During the funeral of people who dies in the school earlier today, one Palestinian expressed his anger by saying, “Arab countries are watching us, Islamic countries are watching - Where is Islam when the child gets dismembered?.. There is no good in a nation where children are killed, Shame on you, Muslims”.
On April 22, Tuesday Israeli forces killed at least 32 Palestinians. 11 people were burned to death inside their house in Khan Younis.
