Pakistan Launches Military Offensive ‘Bunyanun Marsoos’, Reuters

The operation is termed "Operation Bunyanun Marsoos" which translates to a firm and united structure.

According to an international news agency Reuters, Pakistan announced on Saturday that it has launched a military Operation “Bunyanun Marsoos” against India claiming to hit several targets including a missile storage site in north India. The Pakistani military has claimed this to be an ‘eye for eye’ retaliation, as reported by CNN.

Indian defence thwarted the attacks carried out by Pakistan by destroying the drones used for the attack. The debris from the drones were found in several areas of Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. 

The name "Operation Bunyanun Marsoos" was declared by Pakistan's information minister on X which translates to a firm and united structure, as reported by Reuters. While addressing the strikes, Pakistan military claimed that, "BrahMos storage site has been taken out in general area Beas along with the Pathankot airfield in India's western Punjab state and Udhampur Air Force Station in Kashmir."

Pakistan had continued its offensive by launching drone and missile attacks in several parts of Jammu on Saturday morning. According to defence sources cited by ANI, the Pakistani posts and terrorist launch pads that were being employed to launch the drone attacks have been terminated by the Indian army stationed near Jammu. 

The defence ministry officials confirmed 26 locations across India were hit with drone attacks. India라이브 바카라 defence system countered most of them "all such aerial threats are being tracked and engaged using counter-drone systems.”

The locations include Baramulla, Srinagar, Avantipora, Nagrota, Jammu, Ferozpur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Lalgarh Jatta, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bhuj, Kuarbet, and Lakhi Nala. 

Pakistan had also opened unprovoked firing at the BSF outpost in Kashmir. The BSF has inflicted heavy damage on Pakistani posts in retaliation, as reported by ANI.

Before launching the operation, Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Friday asserted in the National Assembly that “students in madrassas will be used for security if the situation arises, as they are considered the second line of defence.”
