The minister also said the state government is going to launch soon a scheme to promote farming of evergreen mangoes in the state, the framework for which is being readied currently. The government will soon distribute evergreen mango saplings among orchardists in Kangra, Hamirpur, Una and Bilaspur districts, he said, adding the scheme will be launched within two months. The evergreen mango trees will bear fruit twice a year, he said adding the planting of evergreen mango saplings, more employment opportunities would be generated in the state.
