2025 kickstarted with a bitter politcal exchange between the Aam Admi Party (AAP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as AAP's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal in a letter to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat accused the BJP of voter deletions and cash distribution ahead of Delhi Assembly election.
While raising several questions in his letter to the RSS chief, the former Delhi CM asked Bhagwat if the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) endorsed the "wrongdoings" like BJP leaders distributing money openly to buy votes and deleting Purvanchali and Dalit voters.
Earlier, Kejriwal approached the Election Commission of India (ECI) regarding an “unusual spike” in additions and deletions to the electoral rolls. He accused the BJP of manipulating the voters' list in his home constituency, the New Delhi assembly segment.
The elections to the 70-member Delhi Assembly are due to be held in February.
Hitting back to Kejriwal and the AAP, Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva said, “On the first day of New Year, we often make resolutions. I have written a letter to AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal, urging him to stop lying, end his corruption, refrain from making false promises in the name of his children, women, and senior citizens, and apologise for the state of the Yamuna.”
Moreover, BJP also leveled accusations of aiding illegal Rohingya and Bangladeshi residents in Delhi with documents and funds to use them as a vote bank.
A day before, Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also launched a scathing attack on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of using religious symbolism for electoral gains. The party shared a poster of Kejriwal on social media calling him a ‘Chunavi Hindu’.
This comes in response to Kejriwal라이브 바카라 latest scheme – “Pujari Granthi Samman Rashi Scheme” – a proposal that promises Rs 18,000 per month to temple priests (pujaris) and gurdwara granthis.
The Delhi BJP mocked the AAP supremo in a series of posts on X. The arty released a poster of him dressed in a theatrical priest-like avatar, reminiscent of actor Rajpal Yadav라이브 바카라 character in the 2007 film Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The image showed Kejriwal adorned with rudraksha beads, flower garlands, and vermilion on his forehead, with incense sticks tucked behind his ear, in what the BJP described as a staged, election-time display of religiosity.
“Mandir jana hai bas mere liye ek chalaava, pujariyon ka samman bas mera chunavi dikhava, sanatan dharma ka maine humesha mazak banaya,” the poster read. ("Visiting temples for me is a cunning guise, respect for priests is an election façade, I’ve always ridiculed Sanatana Dharma.")
