A group of people attacked actor Allu Arjun's Jubilee Hills residence in Hyderabad. The attackers threw tomatoes at the actor's house and damaged the flower pots placed on the premises, causing chaos, IANS reported.

According to PTI, officials said that the attackers were from Osmania University. Police have arrested eight people involved in the attack, who reportedly belong to the university's Joint Action Committee (JAC).

They were taken to the Jubilee Hills Police Station.

The attackers stormed into the Pushpa star's house and demanded one crore as compensation to the family of the 35-year-old woman who died during the stampede outside Sandhya theatre.

Allu Arjun was not present at his residence at that time of the attack.

The protesters raised slogans against the actor and sought justice to the woman who died in a stampede at a movie theatre here earlier this month on the occasion of screening of the actor's latest film 'Pushpa-2'.

A placard left by them said crores of rupees are made by making films, while those watching films are dying, PTI reported. The OU-JAC was in the forefront of Telangana statehood agitation.

This attack follows agitation over the December 4 stampede outside Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during the premiere of Pushpa 2. The stampede killed a woman who was later identified as Revathi while her eight-year-old was also critically injured.

The Telugu Superstar Allu Arjun was arrested over the incident. After the arrest, Allu Arjun was produced in a local court which remanded him to 14 days' judicial custody. However, his lawyers moved the HC and secured interim bail.
