The Andhra Pradesh unit of BJP has demanded the removal of non-Hindu employees from TTD the job board. Meanwhile, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief Jagan Mohan Reddy said that he does not know the details of the matter.
The Andhra Pradesh BJP has called for the removal of around 1,000 employees of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), who they allege practice non-Hindu religions. The demand comes amid the TTD라이브 바카라 recent disciplinary actions against 18 employees for allegedly engaging in non-Hindu activities.
BJP spokesperson Bhanu Prakash Reddy, who is also a member of the TTD, emphasised that Tirumala holds immense significance as the “spiritual capital of Hindus.” He pointed out that TTD employs over 24,000 people, including more than 6,500 permanent staff and over 17,000 contractual employees. According to Reddy, reports indicate that over 1,000 of these employees are suspected to be practising non-Hindu faiths.
“On February 14, we will be meeting with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to request that the services of non-Hindu employees be terminated. The TTD is a sacred Hindu institution, and it is crucial that only Hindus be allowed to serve in this revered establishment,” said Reddy.
Reddy라이브 바카라 remarks come after the TTD issued a memo barring 18 employees from participating in any religious or spiritual activities related to the temple body as part of disciplinary actions. These employees were accused of engaging in activities that were inconsistent with Hindu practices. Reddy further claimed that some of the non-Hindu employees do not accept offerings from the temple, including the sacred prasadam, even while continuing to receive salaries from the TTD.
“The TTD Act explicitly mandates that only Hindus should be involved in performing temple rituals. We cannot allow employees who do not adhere to these religious practices to be part of the temple services,” Reddy added.
In response to the TTD라이브 바카라 disciplinary actions, Reddy called for a re-verification of the credentials of two of the 18 employees, who he believes may actually be Hindus, despite the allegations.
Meanwhile, reacting to TTD라이브 바카라 decision, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi in a post on X said he has no objection to TTD라이브 바카라 decision in regard to non-Hindu employees.
He demanded that Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu should explain why his party supported the BJP라이브 바카라 Waqf Bill in the Joint Working Committee which mandates a minimum of two non-Muslims in Central Waqf Council and State Waqf Board.
Jagan Mohan Reddy remains silent on the issue
YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief Jagan Mohan Reddy remained tight-lipped on the controversy surrounding the TTD employees. When questioned by reporters on Thursday, Jagan expressed his lack of knowledge about the details of the issue.
“I do not know the details of these topics. I don’t know which department they work in or where they are employed. I do not know where these numbers are coming from,” Jagan told reporters.
He further explained that the TTD is not solely associated with the Tirumala temple but oversees a vast array of institutions and organisations, making it difficult to ascertain the roles and recruitments of the employees in question.
He further stated that the TTD is not limited to just one temple but comprises multiple organisations and institutions, making it unclear where these employees work or how they were recruited.
