At Least 30 Shops Gutted In Dilli Haat Fire, No Casualties Reported

The police received a PCR call at around 8:45 PM on Wednesday, and had estimated at least 24 shops to be destroyed in the fire.

A massive fire gutted at least 30 shops in Delhi라이브 바카라 popular shopping destination Dilli Haat on Wednesday evening. No casualties or injuries were reported, PTI reported.

The police said the fire could have been caused by a short circuit, and a case under sections of negligence has been registered at the Gandhi Nagar police station, Indian Express reported.

“The area was promptly evacuated as a precautionary measure… Fortunately, no loss of life or injuries have been reported so far. Police and fire teams are present at the site, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of the fire,” India Express quoted DCP (Southwest) Surendra Choudhary.

The police received a PCR call at around 8:45 PM on Wednesday, and had estimated at least 24 shops to be destroyed in the fire. The photos of the incident라이브 바카라 aftermath show smoke-ridden charred remains of shops with burnt artworks and earthen pots while Delhi Fire Servicemen attempt to douse the flames.

Delhi라이브 바카라 Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said on X, “We are closely monitoring the situation & ensuring all necessary assistance to those affected,” adding that no casualties were reported.

Karawal Nagar MLA Kapil Mishra and Tourism Minister said on X that the fire had been brought under control. “The fire at Dilli Haat has been brought under control. There are no reports of any casualties in the fire. The Fire Department and administration are present at the spot. I am going to Dilli Haat.”

Mishra also visited Dilli Haat after the fire was brought under control, to meet and console the show owners who faced loss in the incident.

“Our first step today will be to get an estimate of the losses that took place. Tomorrow, we’ll take the next step and give compensation to those affected by the fire… around 26 shops have been gutted by the fire… Let me assure you that we shall stand by you. Your shops will be reinstated, and you shall be compensated for your losses. Along with this, the cause of the fire and whether there were any delays in dousing it shall be investigated,” said Mishra to the media.

The shop owners spoke to Mishra, who assured them compensation will be provided.

“Step 1 would be to give compensation to everyone who suffered. Step 2 would be to not leave those who caused this incident,” said Mishra. “I will come again to see you all in a day or two…I salute your bravery,” The Indian Express reported.

A shop owner told Mishra that everything he built over 35 years was now destroyed.

Another Shopkeeper Ajaj Hussain told The Indian Express that Lucknowi Chikankari worth Rs 95 lakh were destroyed in the fire. “Our shop had pure lehengas… not even a thread remains… Allah ka shukar hai koi mara nahi (By God라이브 바카라 grace, no one died),” he added.
