Atishi also claimed that there were incidents of violence wherein a resident of Nehru Camp was picked up and assaulted by anti-social elements.
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on January 30 made fresh claims regarding violation of the model code of conduct in a letter to the Returning Officer of Kalkaji Assembly constituency ahead of the upcoming polls. She claimed distribution of money and liquor in "large quantities inside camp areas" in Kalkaji and urged the poll bod to increase the deployment of paramilitary forces in the constituency to ensure voters cast ballots "without fear".
"I have come to know that money and liquor being distributed in large quantities inside camp areas, especially Nehru Camp, Navjeevan Camp, Transit Camp A & B and Pocket A 14, Kalkaji… There is a need to increase the presence of paramilitary forces in slum clusters of Kalkaji Assembly constituency to ensure that the voters can cast their vote without fear in the upcoming assembly elections," the Delhi CM said in the letter.
The AAP leader further claimed that there were incidents of violence in the Assembly constituency on January 27 and 28, wherein a resident of Nehru Camp was picked up and assaulted by anti-social elements. "These people were carrying guns and axes with them," she said, adding that a complaint has already been made regarding this incident.
Atishi later noted that these individuals were also spotted with Delhi Police Constable Jai Bhagwan in the area.
She then recounted another violent incident, where a resident of Navjeevan Camp and his aunt were "brutally attacked with iron rods." "Abhishek was dragged into a room in Hanuman Park, which these anti-social elements had turned into their base, and was beaten mercilessly," she reported to the Kalkaji Returning Officer.
The Delhi Chief Minister candidate also emphasized the need for an increased deployment of paramilitary forces in Kalkaji라이브 바카라 slum areas. She urged for 24/7 patrolling by paramilitary forces in these JJ clusters to deter anti-social elements and restore voter confidence.
Two days earlier, Atishi had sent a letter to Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, urging action against the BJP-led Haryana government, accusing them of attempting to "sabotage the water supply" in Delhi.
She described the situation as "water terrorism," claiming that ammonia levels in the Yamuna water coming to Delhi from Haryana had risen due to the mixing of untreated sewage or industrial waste. Atishi further accused the Haryana government of deliberately disrupting the water supply to impact the conduct of free and fair elections, worsening the water crisis in the city.
