CBI Cracks Down on International Child Sexual Exploitation Networks Following US Operation Hawk Inputs

Online child sexual exploitation with cross-border links cracked operating since 2023

Acting on intelligence received from Operation Hawk led by US authorities, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has successfully dismantled cybercrime networks involved in online child sexual exploitation with cross-border links, The Hindu reported.

The CBI라이브 바카라 International Operations Division has registered a case against Sheikh Muizz Ahmed under IPC Section 506, Section 66D of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and Sections 11 and 12 of the POCSO Act, 2012. According to officials, Ahmed, a resident of Mangaluru, used the social media platform Discord under the username “heisenberg7343” in March 2024 to engage in sexually explicit chats with a minor girl from the United States. He reportedly induced the victim to share obscene images and videos and further intimidated her to participate in online sexual activities.

Following the case registration, CBI teams conducted searches at multiple locations in Mumbai and Mangaluru, recovering electronic devices including mobile phones and laptops that allegedly contained Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Ahmed was arrested and has been remanded to judicial custody.

In a separate case, the CBI also booked Delhi resident Mukul Saini under IPC Section 506, Section 67 of the IT Act, and Sections 11, 12, and 15 of the POCSO Act.

Investigations revealed that during 2023–2024, Saini communicated via Discord and Arisu with a minor girl from the US, persuading her to engage in sexual chats and share explicit material. He allegedly threatened the victim to continue sending obscene content by threatening to leak her images online. Searches at Saini라이브 바카라 locations in Delhi led to the seizure of electronic devices, mobile phones, and hard disks containing incriminating digital evidence.

Earlier, as The Hindu reports, the CBI had launched Operation Carbon in 2021 and Operation Megh Chakra in 2022 to combat online child exploitation cases with international dimensions, requiring globally coordinated law enforcement responses.
