As per reports, The Cricket association of Bengal received a bomb threat mail amid the IPL 2025 KKR vs CSK match at Kolkata's Eden Gardens. Meanwhile in Gujarat, the email came ahead of the IPL match between GT vs LSG game at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The Cricket Association of Bengal has reported a bomb threat email. As per reports, the mail was received from an unknown ID during the IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings at Eden Gardens.
This IPL match was the first one to be played after India's Operation Sindoor - a retaliatory strike against Pakistan following the Pahalgam Attack of April 22, 2025.
The Gujarat Cricket Association alerted Ahmedabad Police following the bomb threat email. As per a report by IANS, GCA stated that mail was sent under the name "Pakistan JK" and threatened to "blast your stadium".
This threat came ahead of the IPL match between Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants at Narendra Modi Stadium, set for May 14.
India carried out Operation Sindoor on May 6 and 7 against Pakistan. This tri-service military strike targeted nine terror camps across 21 locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. This operation came as response to the Pahalgam terror attack of April 22 which killed 26 civilians, including one Nepali citizen.
Following this operation, Pakistan retaliated with heavy firing along the LoC, killing around 12 civilians in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.
