We do not acknowledge the old-school since it makes us think about people, their emotions and their way of life through the lens of idealism. Today, idealism is a vulnerable entity especially because the world is constantly worried about selling itself to stay relevant. Tarun, on the other hand, sold his young and adult life to a form of revolution many people cannot relate to. It is tough to digest a sharp-edged person. Tarun never hesitated to call a spade a spade and people like him scare us as they give us reality checks we are not fond of experiencing. Anyone who knew Tarun would know that he was capable of shaking foundations without spilling a single drop of blood. His opinions may or may not align with ours, but they always made us look at the world from a different perspective.

People like him are rare since they do not live in a society that worships greed and feeds on personal relevance. He made his own little space where anyone who is genuine received a warm welcome and those who got to live in it are still keenly aware why Tarun라이브 바카라 space is so important to survive this dark, vengeful and bleak time.

I met Tarun in 2016, when the gong of cruelty hit democracy on a different level and made it deaf. He was the first person who made me listen to the truth from a place where every second person is hijacked by WhatsApp forwards and blind, screaming news reporters. I was a bruised man when Tarun crossed my path. He let me become his companion so that we could walk over the patchy skin of society which, according to him, keeps committing unsurprising but horrible crimes. He wanted people to understand how demagogues are feeding on democracy, how powerful writers from the literary community are taking over the ideas of lesser-known regional writers, and how even the most established artists use capitalism to suppress those who are either polite or voiceless. It is so heartbreaking to realise that the truth of Tarun Bhartiya was naked and this orthodox, traditional society is still afraid of his nudity. But he wanted to spread himself like a single-celled organism which undergoes binary fission everyday to develop and evolve. The chaos in Tarun라이브 바카라 mind voiced a scream which made him a non-conformist that we can only dream about becoming. I wanted to be like him. So, one day I asked him how I should lead my life and speak my mind. He smiled, shook me gently and said, “You just have to see the truth on the street. So, walk up to people, talk to those who expect a person who is going to listen to them; write your ideas down, and don’t let anyone take them away from you since ideas aren’t paper currency. An idea cannot buy anyone, but it can surely stop the noise of the world from consuming your energy.”

Raiot, a magazine that operates from Shillong, became a medium for him to bring writers, photographers and artists from various parts of the country together to talk about issues, which can have deadly consequences under a political regime that nurtures hatred. The Northeastern part of the nation knows what isolation feels like and Tarun wanted the rest of the country to know what they are doing. Assam, especially the Bengalis of Assam, faced the first blow of the National Register of Citizens. Except Tarun, no one dared to speak up about this unconstitutional act until it was implemented all over the country. I had my disagreements with him regarding how it was being oppressive to a community and supportive of the other, but then after hours of bull-fighting, we drank the fight out and he patted my back drenched by dew drops. I think that라이브 바카라 when I realised that this man is everything I want a nation to be like. Tarun represented democracy in its raw form and so he was old-school. He wanted dissent to live longer than our lives and now that he is gone, I think all I have with me are his sharp, acidic ideas I both agreed and disagreed with.

He was a man you would either ridiculously love or desperately hate. He knew communism and how to dissect everything using this simple idea that does not confuse people by staying in the grey zone. He lived his entire life without thinking about pleasing anyone. I fully grasped the nature of the time we are living in when Tarun라이브 바카라 magazine was taken down by the state and his exhausted face and body were looking for hope. Neither the state nor the glorious mainstream artists of today came forward to stand by him. But he collected the pieces of his dream and managed to rework the idea. The resurrection of Raiot happened. The magazine is now one of the ways for people who aren’t scared of their vulnerabilities, to keep him alive in order for us to fight the war.

Tarun was a rebel who chose to draw strength from his love for his family. He used to say how Angela Rangad, his wife and a well-known activist, cares for the foundation-shaking, anarchist rebel in him. He never shied away from expressing his love for his children. The revolution in him was nurtured and loved by his family.

I have an emptiness inside me since I know that I will not be able to meet him again. His words are not going to strike my mind anymore. This generation did not do justice to him and his art. The capitalist market believes in selling art as a general product based on many lies. Tarun Bhartiya remained unsaleable because it has always been tough to cage a free spirit.
