The Kashmir Valley on Saturday received the season's heaviest snowfall on Saturday. Extreme snowfall in Kashmir, Himachal, and Uttarakhand this year led to several disruptions of services including flights, trains, and the closure of several highways. Normal life has been thrown out of gear as essential services like water and power supply also got affected due to the extreme weather conditions.
