In the latest round of blocking Pakistani accounts, the Indian government has now withheld accounts of former Prime Minister and PTI leader Imran Khan.

Along with Imran Khan, the account of former minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Singer Atif Aslam have also been blocked. This move comes amid the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan following a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam.

The X accounts of both Pakistani politicians have been withheld "in response to a legal demand." A similar description is available on Instagram for singer Atif Aslam.

Earlier this week, central government blocked the Instagram accounts of several Pakistani actors in India, including Hania Amir, Mahira Khan, Ali Zafar, Sanam Saeed, Bilal Abbas, Iqra Aziz, Imran Abbas, and Sajal Aly.

Ahead of blocking the accounts of singers and actors, the Indian government blocked 16 Pakistani YOuTube channels which included key news services such as Geo TV, Dawn, Samaa TV and ARY News.

As per the notice issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the channels were blocked for "spreading provocative, communally sensitive content and misinformation against India."

This is a developing story...
