Discovery of more than 500 kgs of rotting beef at Margao railway station last Sunday has uncovered the potential of a large-scale smuggling operation that may have been operating unchecked for years. The seizure, which was prompted by a strong, foul odor coming from parcels labeled as chicken, has revealed an intricate network trafficking beef from Delhi to Goa using fraudulent documentation.
“This wasn’t an isolated incident,” TOI reported. “Our findings suggest that similar operations were conducted regularly, with smugglers exploiting gaps in the railway라이브 바카라 parcel inspection system.”
Police Inspector Sunil Gudlar of the Konkan Railway police station, who spearheaded the raid, confiscated 514.5 kg of beef worth around Rs 1.5 lakh. The shipment had originated from Delhi라이브 바카라 Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station and was destined for distribution in Goa.
According to an official familiar with the investigation, the operation might have remained undetected if not for the unusually warm weather, which caused the meat to spoil faster than expected. "The stench became so overpowering that it could no longer be ignored," the official explained to TOI.
The arrest of Fayaz Ahmed Kengenavar, a Karnataka native residing at Davorlim, has provided investigators with additional leads, TOI said. Kengenavar라이브 바카라 interrogation revealed details about the network라이브 바카라 operations.
“The smugglers were aware that the railway라이브 바카라 parcel service lacked sophisticated inspection technology,” a police source told TOI. Gudlar said that the documentation was falsified to list the contents as chicken, when in reality it was beef being transported across state lines.
Police believe this case may be just the tip of the iceberg in a much larger operation spanning multiple states. “We’re following several promising leads,” said Gudlar. “The documentation trail and communication records are helping us map out the entire network.”
West Bengal-Noida Beef Racket
On November 9, 2024, Authorities in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, recently arrested five individuals, including four from the Hindu community, for their involvement in the illegal export of cow meat under the guise of buffalo meat. The police intercepted a truck near the Luharli toll plaza in West Bengal, seizing 153 tons of beef worth approximately Rs 4 crore. The driver and his assistant told authorities that the meat was en route to SPJ cold storage in Dadri.
Reports indicate that the seizure involved 153 tons of meat valued at around Rs 4 crore. This arrest and confiscation highlight a serious breach of Uttar Pradesh's strict laws against cow slaughter and illegal export.
The individuals arrested include truck driver Shiv Shankar (35), manager Akshay Saxena (34), director Khushruddin Nabi (59), helper Sachin Kumar (24), and cold storage owner Puran Joshi (51), who runs a facility in Dadri.
