The family of Asif Sheikh said that they had lost contact with Shiekh since he joined militancy three years ago.
Yasmeen Sheikh, sister of the militant, said that the security forces have questioned them about Shiekh and whether they were in touch with him.
The security measures came a day after the Jammu and Kashmir police released the sketches of the three militants who it alleged were behind the targeted attack on the tourists in Pahalgam.The sketches were released by the Anantnag police on its social media handles while the tight security cordon remained in place in Baisaran in pursuit of the militants.
