Rs 48,940 Crore Transferred Directly to Farmers
Under the paddy procurement initiative, a sum of Rs 48,940 crore has been directly transferred to farmers. This includes Rs 3,716 crore disbursed as paddy bonuses to 13 lakh farmers. Furthermore, Rs 32,000 crore was promptly released as the support price for paddy purchased at Rs 3,100 per quintal. An additional Rs 13,320 crore was credited to 24.75 lakh farmers through the Krishak Unnati Yojana, further boosting agricultural growth and enabling record-breaking paddy production of 145 lakh metric tonnes.
