Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday to reiterate the Opposition's request for a special Parliament session to discuss the April 22 Pahalgam attack, Operation Sindoor and the consecutive ceasefire declaration - first by the United States and later by respective Governments of India and Pakistan.

But after certain violations were reported on Indian territory just a few hours after the ceasefire announcement, all border states remained on high alert with precautionary blackouts in place.
Political leaders across India reacted to Operation Sindoor and the US-brokered ceasefire on Sunday.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Manoj Tiwari said that Operation Sindoor was against terrorists, not Pakistan and that the Operation will continue against terrorism. The minister stated that terrorist hideouts were destroyed and that India has now clearly mentioned that even a single terrorist incident will be considered a declaration of war. “This is the new India,” ANI reported.
While Defence Minister Rajnath Singh attended inauguration of BrahMos Aerospace Integration and Testing Facility virtually and spoke about Operation Sindoor, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the event in Lucknow said that the valour of the BrahMos missile was seen during Operation Sindoor. The CM posted on X, “What is BrahMos? You must have seen a glimpse of this missile during Operation Sindoor.”

Mehbooba Mufti - the former member of Lok Sabha and leader of the Jammu and Kashmir People's Democratic Party - said that India is a big economy and a big democracy and therefore should act like a big brother, “instead of a third party coming in and declaring that they will solve our problem. The Indian government should initiate a political process to solve the conflict with Pakistan itself and develop good relations with all our neighbours,” according to ANI. She further stated that it does not matter what the US says, what matters is how peace can be restored in Kashmir. When the militaries of two countries are in eye-to-eye contact, it takes time to de-escalate, she added, insisting that people remain patient.
Sachin Pilot - the opposition Congress party leader said that the opposition and the entire country supported BJP라이브 바카라 decision to punish Pakistan for its deeds. “However, the way Pakistan violated the ceasefire thereafter is a matter of concern—America announced the ceasefire, and the American side also said things like 'discussions to be held at a neutral place',”ANI reported.
He said that "internationalisation of Kashmir" is not acceptable to Congress, demanding a special parliament session of the parliament to discuss the same.
