"Union Government is trying to amend Waqf Bill, which will hinder the Waqf Board라이브 바카라 powers. This is hurting Muslim sentiments, and Union Government does not bother about it," said Stalin.
"People are living in religious harmony in India. The Constitution has provided rights for all people to follow their religion. The elected governments have the rights to protect it. The Assembly unanimously insists that the Union government should recall the Waqf Amendment Bill in 2024 for Waqf Act 1995, which will badly affect the minority Muslims to be withdrawn," he added.
Stalin further framed the Waqf Bill as part of a broader trend of exclusionary policies by BJP
“Whether it is the Citizenship Amendment Act, the imposition of Hindi, financial discrimination against non-BJP states, or anti-social justice policies like NEET and NEP — every action of the Union government targets specific communities,” the Tamil Nadu CM said.
Tamil Nadu's move comes a day after ruckus in the Bihar assembly regarding the Waqf bill. In Bihar, opposition raised slogans and called for the withdrawal of the bill.
While the proposed amendments have been accepted by the Cabinet, the Waqf Bill is yet to be introduced in the Lok Sabha.
