The drafting of the proposed Uniform Civil Code (UCC) for Uttarakhand has been completed, announced retired바카라 웹사이트Supreme Court Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai, who is also a바카라 웹사이트member of the UCC바카라 웹사이트draft committee for the state. The report of the expert committee along with the draft will be printed and submitted to the Government of Uttarakhand.

Two days after Modi's pitch,바카라 웹사이트Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that such a law will be implemented in the state soon.바카라 웹사이트"Uniform Civil Code (UCC) is going to be implemented soon in Uttarakhand, the law will be the same for all!" the chief minister tweeted in Hindi.
The state had set up a committee, headed by former Supreme Court judge Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai, last year to examine ways to implement such a code.바카라 웹사이트
CM Dhami on February 12 last year, during election campaigning, announced that the implementation of UCC will be the first decision the BJP government would take after coming to power. He stated that Article 44 of the Constitution empowers the state governments to implement UCC.
