CAN Vs NAM, ICC CWC League Two 2023-27 Match 60: Gerhard Erasmus Shines In Namibia's 12-Run Win Over Canada

Namibia defeated Canada by 12 runs in match 60 of the ICC Cricket World Cup League Two 2023-27 at the Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek on Saturday, 15 March 2025. (More Cricket News)

Namibia set a 187-run target, but the match was reduced to 43 overs due to rain. The target was reduced to 167 runs, but they were restricted to 154 runs.

Namibia won the toss and elected to bat first in Windhoek, and thanks to JP Kotze's 48 runs and Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton's unbeaten 47 runs, Namibia scored 186 runs in 49 overs.

Kaleem Sana and Shahid Ahmadzai shared four wickets each whereas Dillon Heyliger and Parveen Kumar picked up one wicket each.

In response, Canada started well with Yuvraj Samra's half-century. He, along with Navneet Dhaliwal, added 79 runs for the first wicket. Canada lost a few wickets in the middle.

But rain came and the match was stopped for half and hour. Then seven overs were cut from the second innings and the new target was 167 runs in 43 overs. Canada failed to achieve the target and lost the match by 12 runs.

After this win, Canada are at the third place on the points table with 20 points in 16 matches whereas Namibia are at the seventh place with 14 points in 20 matches.
