The home team had a tough first game, losing to Uganda by three wickets. But they redeemed themselves by beating Bahrain by six wickets in their second encounter to clinch a spot in the final.
Hong Kong first dismissed Bahrain for 134 runs in 41.1 overs, with Nasrulla Rana taking four wickets. They then chased down the target in 31.5 overs, as Babar Hayat scored 61 runs off 71 balls and Nizakat Khan stayed unbeaten on 42 (off 61) to guide them home.
Uganda, on the other hand, won both its games comfortably and are eyeing a series-clinching hat-trick of victories. After trouncing Hong Kong by three wickets in the opener, Riazat Ali Shah's men demolished Bahrain by 150 runs.
Ahead of the tri-series final, Hong Kong captain Yasim Murtaza said the team was learning from previous experiences and improving after every match to strive for better.
