The last two berths for the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 will be up for grabs in the six-team qualifying tournament which will take place in Lahore, Pakistan from April 9 to 19. The top two teams from the event will confirm their passage for the forthcoming ICC Women's Cricket World Cup in India, to be played in October and November 2025.
As the schedule for the qualifier was launched, the 's chief executive officer Geoff Allardice said he was looking forward to a very competitive tournament. “The six teams are just one step away from the Women라이브 바카라 Cricket World Cup and I am sure they would be all geared up for the competition," he said.
“On behalf of the ICC, I would like to wish all the participating teams the very best of luck and hope to see some competitive cricket in Lahore as a build-up to the World Cup in India,” Allardice added.
This is the sixth edition of the qualifier, and the six participating sides include four full members - hosts Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh and Ireland. These four teams could not seal a direct spot for the Cricket World Cup through the ICC Women's Championship, having finished between the seventh and 10th places in the standings.
The other two sides in the tournament are Scotland and Thailand. They are here by virtue of being the next two best-ranked sides in the ICC Women's ODI Team Rankings as on October 28, 2024.
In addition to hosts India, Australia, New Zealand, England, South Africa and Sri Lanka and have already qualified for the World Cup on the basis of finishing in the top six of the 10-team ICC Women라이브 바카라 Championship 2023-25.
The tournament opens with a double-header on April 9, with hosts Pakistan taking on Ireland, while West Indies face Scotland. The following day, Bangladesh and Thailand will lock horns.
Some key clashes in the qualifier will be the Pakistan vs West Indies match-up on 14 April, the European face-off between Ireland and Scotland on 18 April, and the Pakistan vs Bangladesh encounter on 19 April.
