India sealed their Super Four berth by topping Group A with three points. They beat Pakistan by nine wickets in the opener, while their second match against Nepal was washed out due to persistent rain.
Bangladesh won Group B with four points, beating Sri Lanka by 28 runs in their opener and humbling hosts Malaysia by 120 runs in their second match.
After being put to bat first, Bangladesh are off to a brisk start with openers Fahomida Choya and Mst Eva displaying some serious intent early on in the powerplay. For India, Shabnam Md Shakil and Joshitha Vj start off proceedings.
The Bangladesh openers are slowly getting their eye in as they have notched up 22 runs in the first four overs. India, on the other hand, have looked to bowl tight lines after a wayward start in the first two.
After a good start, Bangladesh have found themselves in a bit of bother at the end of the powerplay, with them losing both the openers in the same over. The Indian captain is overjoyed as Aayushi Shukla's introduction has worked wonders.
India continue to pile on the pressure as Bangladesh lose their fourth wicket in the tenth over, having scored just 38 and now are under a lot of pressure with just over ten overs to go. Aayushi Shukla, bowling her third over, has three to her name.
Bangladesh are tottering in Kuala Lumpur as they have lost half of their side in under 12 overs. They have managed to just score 44 and it looks like a below par score with eight overs and five wickets in hand. India in cruise control.
The pressure, misery, and the constant wickets continue for Bangladesh as they have lost seven for just 46 runs. Ayushi Shukla has three, while Sonam Yadav has picked two. India are all over Bangladesh and they have absolutely nowhere to go.
Mst Farjana Easmin and Nishita Akter Nishi are trying to stitch a small partnership, eyeing to take Bangladesh to some sort of a respectable total as they have notched up 54, with three overs to go.
And that's that. An innings that started on a promising note with sheer intent has gone down crumbling and full credit to the Indian bowling attack. Bangladesh have been restricted to 80 for the loss of eight wickets in the 20 overs and the Indians will be thrilled.
If you are free and in and around the Bayuemas Cricket Oval in Kuala Lumpur, this is your chance to watch the future stars in action, all free.
India are up and running in their chase as G Trisha and G Kamilini open the batting and have straight away shown serious intent, notching up 10 runs in the first over.
After a brisk start, India have lost the most recent WPL auction sensation G Kamilini for nought but Trisha is continuing to press the aggressive button to make the move forward as IND-W have scored 19 in just three overs, chasing 81.
India have now lost two quick wickets for not much as Bangladesh string in a few good overs to launch a comeback. However, the Indian skipper Niki Prasad joins G Trisha with the side needing just over 54 for victory.
India have raced to 54, scoring 27 runs in the last three overs as skipper Niki Prasad has taken the scoring rate a level above. With just 25 more needed to win, they will look to press the pedal and help them better their net-run rate for the future.
India have put on a brilliant all-round display and with nine overs to go, and just nine runs to get, it all seems down as Bangladesh continue to delay the inevitable. G Trisha looks a serious, serious talent and one to watch out for in the future.
And that's the game. India have convincingly sealed victory by eight wickets as G Trisha and Niki Pradesh remain unbeaten on 58 and 22, respectively. However, for Bangladesh, it is back to the drawing board with some concerns after a heavy defeat.
Thank you so much for joining us, and we will see you soon. Until next time, take care and goodbye!
