Indian Premier League 2025: Five Youngest Players This Season

From social media sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi to international regular Kwena Maphaka, teams have not been afraid to put their faith in teenagers to shoulder their IPL title challenge this season. In the mega auction, teenage debutants fetched sums in the crores, as teams have put their money where their mouth is.

Below is a list of the five youngest cricketers who have been bought by teams for IPL 2025. The dates are accurate as of March 17.

Musheer Khan (20 years, 18 days)

Musheer Khan, who is the younger brother of Sarfaraz, has been signed by Punjab Kings for the base price of INR 30 lakh. The all-rounder, who turned 20 in February, will hope to make his IPL debut this season for the Kings. Khan has been a regular in the domestic circuit, playing in both the Duleep Trophy and Ranji Trophy, scoring an unbeaten double-century in the latter against Baroda.

Swastik Chikara (19 years, 348 days)

Batter Swastik Chikara, 19, has been bought by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for INR 30 lakh base price. Chikara was a part of the Delhi Capitals (DC) squad in 2024, but failed to get an outing. However, his sensational form in the Uttar Pradesh T20 League 2024, where he scored 499 runs in 12 matches, has seen his stock rise.

Kwena Maphaka (18 years, 343 days)

South African teen sensation Kwena Maphaka has been picked up by Rajasthan Royals for INR 1.5 crore. The 18-year-old had two matches under his belt for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024, but he will look to become the focal point of Royal라이브 바카라 pace attack this season. He was quite terrific in the Under-19 World Cup in 2024, taking 21 wickets in six matches, and also picked up six wickets in SA20 2025.

C Andre Siddarth (18 years, 201 days)

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have signed Andre Siddarth for his base price of INR 30 lakh after the youngster impressed in the Under-19 Asia Cup in 2024. The batter has also been on fire in domestic cricket, scoring 372 runs for Tamil Nadu in the Ranji Trophy, maintaining a superb average of 93. He will hope to make his IPL debut for the Super Kings this term.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi (13 years, 355 days)

Vaibhav Suryavanshi has become a social media sensation ever since he was picked up by Rajasthan Royals for INR 1.10 crore at the unbelievable age of 13. However, the left-handed batter from Bihar has shown that he is more than just hype, scoring 176 runs in five matches in the Under-19 Asia Cup. He has also been among the runs for Bihar in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, scoring 71 against Baroda.
