West Indies, too, will seek to recover after suffering an 11-run loss to Scotland. The Scots were able to dismiss the Windies for 233 while chasing a 245-run target, despite skipper Hayley Matthews' phenomenal all-round performance (114 not out and 4/56).
The six-team tournament features four full members - hosts Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh and Ireland - apart from Scotland and Thailand. The top two teams from the event will confirm their passage for the forthcoming ICC Women's Cricket World Cup in India, to be played in October and November 2025.
