Sunrisers Eastern Cape prevailed over Joburg Super Kings by a handsome 32-run margin in the SA20 2025 Eliminator at SuperSport Park, Centurion on Wednesday (February 5). Markram stayed unbeaten on 62 off 40 deliveries and then marshalled his troops effectively, as the Sunrisers choked the run flow and kept picking up wickets at regular intervals. Consequently, the Super Kings could only score 152 runs for the loss of seven wickets, in response to Eastern Cape's 185-run target.
Craig Overton, Ottneil Baartman and Liam Dawson picked up two wickets apiece for the the two-time defending champions. With the win, Sunrisers' quest for a third straight title remains alive, while Joburg have been knocked out.
One finalist has already been decided in the form of MI Cape Town.
