Chasing a daunting target of 235, the Kings pulled off one of the most remarkable run chases in PSL history, thanks to a sensational century from James Vince and a solid knock from Khushdil Shah.
Karachi Kings captain David Warner, wearing his debut cap, won the toss and opted to bowl first — a decision he may have briefly second-guessed as Multan Sultans racked up a daunting 234/3 in their 20 overs.
Skipper Mohammad Rizwan led from the front with a batting masterclass, remaining unbeaten on 105 off 63 balls. He was well-supported in the death overs by Michael Bracewell, who smashed a fiery 44 off just 17 balls to push the total past the 230 mark.
Chasing a formidable target to etch their name in the record books with the second-highest successful chase in PSL history, the Kings didn’t get off to the smoothest start.
Opener Tim Seifert looked promising but fell for 32 off 16, while debutant skipper David Warner managed just 17 runs with three boundaries before being dismissed.
