Fans are ready and so are the two teams. Both sides come into the fresh IPL season with new captains. RCB have handed over the reigns to Rajat Patidar while KKR will be led by Ajinkya Rahane. KKR and RCB also have an interesting rivalry as the fans of the Kolkata franchise never forget to taunt Virat Kohli's side for getting bowled out for 49 against them which till date remains the lowest total in league's history.

Even though everything looks set for the start of another IPL season, the weather gods are not impressed. Signs are not encouraging for the opening game and we might see a truncated game or, at worse, even a washout in the IPL 2025 opener.

KKR Vs RCB Weather Forecast

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds expected in Kolkata. The weather will also remain rainy with chances of precipitation high in the morning and low but significant in the evening as well.

KKR Vs RCB Pitch Report

Kolkata was a high scoring venue last season but with the rain making the conditions moist, a difficult batting track can not be ruled out. With the surface offering good pace and bounce, pacers could be in for a good time if the pitch actually retains some moisture.

KKR Vs RCB Prediction

Google gives KKR a 54% chance to win the game and that means the defending champions will start as favourites.
