The Shaheens were miserable in the five T20 games against the hosts, losing all but one of their matches in quite spectacular fashion. In the fifth and final T20I match on Wednesday, 26 March, the Kiwis defeated the Shaheens by eight wickets.
Opting to bowl after winning the toss, the New Zealanders restricted Pakistani batters to just 128 runs, with Salman Agha라이브 바카라 51 off 39 balls the only noteworthy performance. Chasing the small target, Kiwi opener Tim Seifert almost single-handedly won the match, scoring an unbeaten 97 runs off 38 balls.
Now facing Pakistan in the 50-over format, New Zealand will be confident of carrying on their winning momentum. The Kiwis have called up two uncapped players to replace a host of senior players playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, while former skipper Kane Williamson – currently on analysis duty in IPL – has withdrawn from the team.
Interestingly, one of the two uncapped players called up is Lahore-born Muhammad Abbas, with the 21-year-old in line to make his international debut against his birth country.
Meanwhile, Pakistan will look to move Babar Azam to a number three role from the opener spot that he held in the Champions Trophy 2025. Imam-ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafique might be chosen to open the innings.
