New Zealand Vs Sri Lanka, 2nd T20I: All-Round NZ Beat SL By 45 Runs, Clinch Series 2-0
New Zealand came up with a well-rounded display to prevail over Sri Lanka by a convincing 45-run margin in the second T20 international on Monday (December 30, 2024). Batting first in Mount Maunganui, the Kiwis put 186 runs on the board thanks to an unbeaten 41 off 19 balls from Player of the Match Michael Hay. Jacob Duffy (4/15) then starred with the ball for the second straight game for the BlackCaps, who dismissed the visitors for 141 runs. The hosts thus lead the three-match series by an unassailable 2-0 margin, having won the opener by eight runs.
