Saurashtra are sixth in the eight-team table with one win in five outings. Jadeja, 36, last played a domestic List A match in January 2023 when he led the team against Tamil Nadu in Ranji Trophy.
"Jadeja has turned up for training today. He will play the next match," Saurashtra Cricket Association president Jaydev Shah told PTI on Sunday.
In 135 first-class matches, Jadeja has scalped 542 wickets at an average of 23.88 and has scored 7466 runs with 13 centuries and 39 fifties.
It's worth noting that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has asked all international players to play in domestic cricket following the team's Border-Gavaskar Trophy series defeat in Australia.
Again on Saturday, during the ICC Champions trophy team announcement press conference, chief selector Ajit Agarkar emphasised it.
"I think everyone should, when available. Sometimes, it's difficult if you're playing all three formats," Agarkar said. "You don't get as much time. You'll probably find most of the guys playing this round of Ranji Trophy. There's been a little bit of time. And those who are available and fit, obviously, you expect people to play. I don't think it's a diktat."
Rohit Sharma, who co-hosted the PC, confirmed that he is available for Mumbai team selection. The record 42-time champions will take on Jammu and Kashmir in their penultimate Elite Group A match.
Elsewhere, Rishabh Pant (Delhi), Shubman Gill (Punjab), and Yashasvi Jaiswal (Mumbai) have made themselves available to represent their respective domestic teams.
KL Rahul, who is nursing an elbow issue, will miss Karnataka's match against Punjab but is expected to feature in their final Elite Group C match against Haryana, starting January 30.
Former India captain Virat Kohli has ruled himself out of the Delhi vs Saurashtra match citing neck pain. He had reportedly taken an injection on January 8, three days after the fifth and final Test in Sydney.
Meanwhile, India's limited-overs team has landed in Kolkata for the first T20 International against England at Eden Gardens. After the five-match T20I series, the two teams will play three One-Day Internationals, effectively the warm-ups for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
