Uganda captain Natasha Miles had called it right at the toss and inserted Hong Kong to bat first.

Hong Kong's batting could not find any rhythm right from the start of the innings. They could not find any momentum with the bat and even though captain Miles got a 30, she faced 47 balls in her innings. Other Hong Kong batters were also slow and thus they were stopped by Uganda bowlers at 75/4 in 20 overs.

Uganda too started slow but were quick enough to reach the target in 17.2 overs. Immaculate Nakisuuyi, who picked up two wickets with the ball, also had a good outing with the bat. Player of the Match Nakisuuyi scored 28 off 35 to set up an easy eight-wicket win for Uganda.
