Arsenal defeated Crystal Palace 3-1 in an EFL Cup quarter-final on Wednesday, with Gabriel Jesus scoring a surprising hat trick. Despite having only one goal in 20 appearances this season, Jesus found the net twice in quick succession—first with a chip in the 54th minute to equalize and then with a controversial offside goal in the 73rd minute. He completed his hat trick in the 81st with a powerful strike. Eddie Nketiah added a late goal for Palace in the 85th, but Arsenal held on to secure their place in the semi-finals.
