We are just under 30 minutes away from kick-off at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, and the players from both sides are going through their warm-up routines. However, this could get super intense not long from now.
There's a lot of noise at the Bengaluru fortness as the crowd slowly starts to fill in the stands, however, the all the noise thus far have been from the NorthEast United fans. They are certainly buzzing.
And we are underway at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium with Bengaluru FC in blue, and the NorthEast United FC in white. The hosts Bengaluru shape up as 4-3-3, while the visiting Highlanders have gone with 4-2-3-1.
Well, well! We have had just three minutes of game time, and it has been electric. NorthEast United have taken Bengaluru by surprise and are on the run. This is turning out to be some start!
The Indian Super Leagues goes from good to better for Alaaeddine Ajaraie. The away fans are absolutely thrilled. The 31-year-old left-footed strike finds the back of Gurpreet's net following a fast break from the visiting side.
Bengaluru equalise and equalise withing minutes! This is some strike. BFC's No.10 puts them back into the game after he's at the end of a bad clearance, and the Spaniard has slapped a shot to make it 1-1.
It just had to be him isn't it? He now becomes the first player to score in his first eight Indian Super League matches, and equals Kalu Uche for scoring in eight straight games. Bengaluru's Zaragoza is livid!
After the first 30 minutes, Juan Pedro Benali could not be any happier! Despite them conceding a goal, the rest have gone to plan. Araraie and Jithin Subran have been sensational for the visitors thus far.
The home side have been sloppy, and have conceded far too many opportunities to the NorthEast United attack. It could have been three, four but stays 2-1 at the moment. One more corner for the visitors, and it has been safely guided away.
And that's the half-time whistle, and NorthEast United are ahead by two goals to one. Bengaluru will be disappointed, and it will be two contrasting half-time talks at both the dressing rooms. Ajaraie, Nickson, and Jithin have been sensational for NorthEast United, while Noguera has been the stand out for BFC.
We are underway for the second time at the Sree Kanteerava, and Bengaluru FC have straight away made a change with Sunil Chhetri coming in for Sivasakthi. Can the hosts come back into the contest, and time is certainly on their side with more than 40 minutes to go.
This is getting intense now at the Kanteerava. The atmosphere? Electric. The Bengaluru fans are pushing for a Bengaluru goal and the home side are responding with intent. However, NorthEast United have been simply solid at the back. Zaragosa is just not happy with the officials.
Goooaaallll, and it is 2-2, and Bengaluru have equalised!! What a start to the game for Ryan Williams!! BFC have their Mo Salah! Mo Salah! Mo Salah! Running down the wing moment at the Kanteerava.
We are just five minutes away regulation time, and Bengaluru survive a scare as the ball flies past Gurpreet's post. The score remains 2-2 and the home fans are pushing the hosts to get the third. Can they go ahead for the first time on the night?
And that's the game, and it ends 2-2 in Bengaluru. The travelling NorthEast United were sensational for most part of the game, and will be pleased to take a point at BFC's fortress. The hosts, on the other hand, will be happy to have equalised twice in the game.
