Here we go then. Tottenham have the kick off.

8' Early in the game, Chelsea have already hit the post once and also got one more threatening chance. Good start for the hosts so far. Spurs will be eager to turn the tables.

Enzo Fernandes has opened the scoring and Chelsea lead. It is 1-0. It was coming, wasn't it? Chelsea were consistently threatening to score and finally they do thanks to Fernandes' header. He jumps right and slots the ball into the left side of the goal from close range.

56' OFFSIDE!

Poor from Tottenham and Moises Caicedo, the man who was nearly out of this game in the first few minutes due to an injury, had got himself on the scoresheet. Or so he thought! The goal has been turned down amid Chelsea celebrations. Referee takes his time to watch and re-watch the action and he deems it offside.

70' Another goal turned down. Tottenham thought they had their equaliser but turns out, no, Chelsea keep the lead. Pape Matar Sarr would have had a goal to his name but the play has been given a foul after a long investigation by the referee with the VAR.

86' Cole Palmer has been booked just after a Chelsea attack which could not be fulfilled as Pedro Neto was flagged offside. Chelsea would think they have sealed three points tonight. Or is there some twist left? We will have a long stoppage time for sure.

There is the final whistle and Chelsea take home all three points just as they should have. Tottenham threatened to stage a comeback in the later part of the game but Chelsea defence stood strong after Enzo Fernandes gave them the lead minutes after half-time. Two goals, one from each side, was disallowed after VAR, making it dramatic in that sense also. Anyways, in the end it is Chelsea 1, Tottenham 0.

The victory takes Chelsea to the fourth spot with 52 points. Tottenham are at the 14th spot with just 34 points.
