Concacaf Champions Cup Semi-Final: Vancouver Whitecaps Beat Inter Miami In Second Leg To Enter Final
Vancouver Whitecaps FC advanced to the final of the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup on Wednesday evening, achieving a convincing 3-1 victory over Inter Miami CF in Leg 2 of their semifinal series, resulting in a 5-1 aggregate win. The Whitecaps will face the winner of Thursday's semifinal between Mexican teams Cruz Azul and Tigres UANL in a single-match final scheduled for June 1, with the possibility of hosting at BC Place. Vancouver entered the match with a 2-0 aggregate lead following their triumph in Leg 1. Miami's hopes for a comeback at Chase Stadium were lifted when Jordi Alba scored in the ninth minute. However, the Whitecaps found their rhythm in the second half, as Brian White scored in the 51st minute and Pedro Vite followed with a goal in the 53rd minute. Sebastian Berhalter capped off his man-of-the-match performance with a goal in the 71st minute.
