MCI 0-1 CRY (9')
Manchester City get a good chance against the run oh play, as De Bruyne breaks free and takes a good shot, and Dean Henderson makes a good save. Marmoush latches on the rebound, but his shot goes wide after the slighest of contacts with the Palace defender bring him down.
Marmoush and Guardiola are angry, but VAR says no dice.
MCI 0-1 CRY (17')
What's going on with the City defence? A pinpoint delivery from Adam Wharton is met by Chris Richard's head, and it's two goals from two chances for the away side.
Questions must asked of Ederson. The goalkeeper rushed in to claim the cross but was left in no man's land as the header came in.
A somewhat decent response from City, as De Bruyne's shot hits the upright post, and Gundogan is unable to poke the rebound in.
MCI 0-2 CRY (25')
Class is permanent and all. Daichi Kamada gets himself booked with an early challenge, and the result free-kick is a thing of beauty from Kevin De Bruyne. The Belgian midfielder, who is leaving the Cityzens at the end of the season, swung the ball wildly around the Palace wall, and Henderson can't get his footing right and remains rooted to his spot.
MCI 1-2 CRY (33')
Even when they are far from their best, City always find a way. A good passing movement in the City movement leads to a good cross from De Bruyne. Gundogan can't connect with the bouncing ball, but Marmoush can. The Egyptian absolutely hammers the ball in, which flies past Henderson, possibly aided by a slight deflection from Richards.
MCI 2-2 CRY (36')
A good one-two puts De Bruyne right in front of the Palace goal, but the Belgian opts for power over finesse, and the blasts the ball over the goal. He could very well have had hat-trick by now!
MCI 2-2 CRY (45+3')
Changes at half-time for Crystal Palace, as Will Hughes replaces Jean-Philippe Mateta.
A good ball from Nico O'Reilly is received in the box by De Bruyne, who lays it off to Mateo Kovacic. The Croatian midfielder, who is having a career-best season in terms of goals scored, fires a low shot which whizzes to the bottom corner.
City go ahead in just 77 seconds since the kick-off whistle. Pep Guardiola's half-time talk has worked.
MCI 3-2 CRY (47')
After squandering a number of decent chances, young James McAtee finally gets his goal. An excellently-timed ball from Ederson puts McAtee in a one-on-one situation, and the forwards goes past the onrushing Henderson to pass the ball into am empty net.
McAtee's celebration matches the quality of the goal, and Ederson is congratulated by his teammates for his fourth assist of the season.
MCI 4-2 CRY (56')

Aston Villa: Emiliano Martinez; Ian Maatsen, Tytone Mings, Ezri Konsa, Matty Cash; Amadou Onana, Youri Tielemans; Marco Asensio, Morgan Rogers, Jacob Ramsey; Marcus Rashford
Meanwhile, Palace made two changes, with Nathaniel Clyne replacing Maxence Lacroix, and Ben Chillwell coming on for Tyrick Mitchell.
Meanwhile, worrying sights for the home supporters, and Ederson goes down while playing a simple pass, and the stretcher comes on. He is replaced by Stefan Ortega.
MCI 4-2 CRY (73')
Richards fails to clear Rico Lewis' ball, and it falls nicely for young Nico O'Reilly, and his shot goes in off a deflection of Nathaniel Clyne. Pep does not mind as it's number five for City, who look absolutely in control at the moment.
MCI 5-2 CRY (79')
Palace respond to City's fifth goal by bringing in Matheus Franca, who replaces Eze, and Justin Devenny, who replaces Wharton.
The home side bring on their own double change, with goal-scorers Omar Marmoush and James McAtee leaving and being replaced by Oscar Bobb and Savinho.
MCI 5-2 CRY (84')
A late chance for Palace, as Devenny Cross hits Rico Lewis' arm. The away side scream for a penalty, but referee waves play on.
And that was that, as the final whistle blows soon after! City has gone back to winning ways, and moved to fourth in the table, with a fantastic 5-2 win at the Etihad.
MCI 5-2 CRY (FT)
Three key matches are up next in the English Premier League 2024-25 Saturday goal rush:
Nottingham Forest vs Everton
Southampton vs Aston Villa
Brighton vs Leicester City
Midfielder Bilal El Khannouss goes into the referee's books early in the match. However, Brighton are by far the better team in the early stages of the game, and Leicester need to improve fast to not go behind.
BHA 0-0 LEI (8')
No goals yet in either of three games in the Premier League 2024-25, with almost half-an-hour of football played.
Meanwhile, VAR is checking for a penalty shout from Brighton, after the ball hit Conor Coady's arm.
VAR rules in favour of Brighton, and the referee points to spot and books Coady. It's Joao Pedro who takes the spot kick, and he makes no mistake.
BHA 1-0 LEI (32')
Leicester pull one back just six minutes after Brighton took the lead. Skipper Lewis Dunk fumbled in possession, and Stephy Mavididi grabs the chance with both hands to score LEI's first goal in nine games!
BHA 1-1 LEI (38')
Only one game has seen goals so far, with the scores at half-time looking like this:
Brighton 1-1 Leicester
Nottingham Forest 0-0 Everton
Southampton 0-0 Aston Villa
Another penalty for Brighton and Hove Albion after Luke Thomas is adjudged to have pulled down to O'Riley. Joao Pedro steps up to the spot, and gets it right yet again to hand Brighton the lead.
BHA 2-1 LEI (55')
No goals, but a couple of changes in the other two games, with Anthony Elanga coming on for Nottingham Forest, replacing Jota Silva.
Southampton have a triple change, with Dibling, Stewart, and Smallbone coming on in the places of Onuachu, Archer, and Sulemana.
What a rollercoaster of emotions for the Villa fans. Ollie Watkins wins a penalty, but Asensio's shot is saved by Aaron Ramsdale. Just four minutes later, Watkins takes the ball from Youir Tielemans and loops it over the head of Aaron Ramsdale.
SOU 0-1 AVL (73')
A fantastic free-kick by Bilal El Khannouss is latched on to by Memeh Okoli, who heads it past Verbruggen to give Leicester parity for the second time.
BHA 2-2 LEI (74')
Donyell Malen doubles Villa's lead with a fantastic finish after being put through by Morgan Rodgers. Southampton look done and dusted at te moment.
SOU 0-1 AVL (79')
McGinn gets the third goal for Aston Villa. Marco Asensio steps up to take the penalty after McGinn wins a foul in the box, but the Spaniard misses for the second time in the game, but the Scottish player scores from the rebound.
SOU 0-3 AVL (90+4')
Everton kept it late to snatch the three points at Nottingham. Dwight McNeil takes the ball of Murillo, and he finds Abdoulaye Doucoure on the left side, who fires it past Matz Sels.
NFO 0-1 EVE (90+4')
The three matches come to an end, and this is what the scoreline looks like after 90 minutes of English Premier League 2024-25:
Southampton 0-3 Aston Villa
Nottingham Forest 0-1 Everton
Brighton 2-2 Leicester
Arsenal: David Raya; Kieran Tierney, Jaukb Kiwior, William Saliba, Thomas Parey; Oleksandr Zinchenko, Declan Rice, Jorginho; Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Ethan Nwaneri
Brentford: Mark Flekken; Keane Lewis-Potter, Sepp van den Berg, Nathan Collins, Kristoffer Ajer; Vitaly Janelt, Christian Norgaard; Kevin Schade, Mikkel Damsgaard, Bryan Mbuemo; Yoane Wissa
We kick-off at the Emirates, with Arsenal looking to keep up their strong record against Brentford (four wins and five draws in the last five games).
In other news, Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has been hospitalised and is undergoing 'surgery' tests.
Despite their poor record at the Emirates, Brentford have begun the match against a weak Arsenal side with confidence, with their centre-back pairing playing the back.
ARS 0-0 BRE (8')
Brentford are going toe to toe against Arsenal. After defending a corner from the Gunners, the Bees break forward, and a first time ball from Mbuemo finds Ajer, but his shot is saved by David Raya.
ARS 0-0 BRE (22')
A fantastic delivery from the right-hand side by Ethwan Nwaneri is met by Kieran Tierney, whose thumping header goes past Flekken. But the semi-automated system shows that the Scottish full-back was offside, and the goal is ruled off.
ARS 0-0 BRE (26')
Ever since Tierney's goal was chalked off by VAR, the Gunners are growing into the game, and Ethwan Nwaneri is making the most of his start on the right side. Not the most exciting of games so far, though.
ARS 0-0 BRE (40')
Leandro Trossard is looking dangerous at the moment. The Belgian midfielder dummied two Brendford defenders and took a strong shot towards the bottom left corner, but Flekken was up to the challenge, diving towards his left and pushing it back for a corner.
ARS 0-0 BRE (44')
It's goalless at the break. Ajer came closest for the visitors, and Tierney's overtuned goal was as good as it got for the Gunners in the first 45 minutes.
ARS 0-0 BRE (HT)
Arsenal have begun where they left off in the last part of the second half, and Gabriel Martinelli whips one in towards Ethan Nwaneri on the right side, but the youngster fails to take the ball down.
ARS 0-0 BRE (47')
After a good start, Arsenal have failed to capitalise on their momeuntum and carve out any clear cut chances, instead relying on set pieces, with already 11 corners won so far.
ARS 0-0 BRE (57')
What a fantastic display of counter-attacking football from Arsenal! David Raya rolls the ball to Declan Rice, who powers through towards the Brentford box before playing it off to Thomas Partey -- who is playing as a makeshift full-back -- on the right side, and the Ghanian fires it to give Arsenal the lead.
ARS 1-0 BRE (61')
A double change from the home side, with Myles Lewis-Skelly and Martin Odegaard replacing Kieran Tierney and Ethan Nwaneri.
ARS 1-0 BRE (63')
Yoane Wissa brings it level for Brentford, and it comes from a corner. Arsenal fail to clear from the corner, and Brentford put the ball in the box, where Wissa turns and shoots it past Raya. It's all level at Emirates.
ARS 1-1 BRE (74')
There is a break in play as Jorginho goes down, almost six minutes after an awkward landing from Mbuemo's challenge. The midfielder is given attention by the physions, but he is clearly unable to continue, and the home side will play out the final five minutes plus added time with 10 men.
ARS 1-1 BRE (86')
Arsenal's 10 men press with intent in the final few minutes, and Bukayo Saka's shot in the 96th minute isn't too far away from creeping in the bottom corner, but it's not meant to be for the Gunners today. It ends one-all at the Emirates, and that's just two wins in their last seven league games for Mikel Arteta's men.
ARS 1-1 BRE (FT)
Whew, what a day of Premier League action that was. It started with a goalfest at the Etihad, followed by one-sided domination at St Mary's and a scruffy win by Everton. The final match of the night at Emiates wasn't the most exciting of games, but Thomas Frank's Brentford have picked up a crucial point on the road. With five points separating them from the European places, and with four games left to play, who knows whta's in store?
